Grace Baylis

I currently work for Fractal Agriculture as Chief of Staff and Capital Markets Lead. I’ve spent the past 18 months building the fundraising function from the ground up, leading capital formation, investor relations, LP communications, fund operations, and solving the hard problems that don’t fit neatly anywhere else.

It’s been one of the most challenging and rewarding things I’ve done professionally: raising for a first-time fund and new product is its own kind of hard, and I’ve loved figuring it out.

Before Fractal, I was on RBC’s US Strategy team, working on enterprise strategy and board planning alongside senior leadership.

But the interest that’s been with me throughout is sport. I love to play, coach, and watch. At Princeton, I captained the Field Hockey team to three Final Fours and a national championship game. I coach youth field hockey and soccer today, and follow various professional teams with a particular interest in how they’re built, funded, and run.

I’m now focused on bringing that capital and operating experience into sport, whether as the right hand to a leader building something, in capital formation for a fund investing in the space, or in a commercial or strategic role with a team or league. When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my two rescue dogs, Sugar and Ronnie, or traveling to try and see more of the world.
